Lineage 2 on Mac, Linux and Chromebook
The original Lineage 2 client is a 32-bit Windows program. On a Mac or a Linux PC that means Wine, CrossOver, Parallels or a second operating system — and a lot of tinkering. LA2WEB runs in the browser, so none of that is needed.
macOS and Apple Silicon
Open the site in Safari, Chrome or Firefox on any Mac, including M1–M4 models. The game uses WebGL, which macOS supports natively, so there is no emulation layer between you and the game.
Linux and Steam Deck
On Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, Mint or SteamOS desktop mode, use Chrome, Chromium or Firefox. No Proton profiles and no winetricks.
Chromebook
A Chromebook with a recent ChromeOS opens the game like any other site. Your character is stored on the server, so you can switch between a Chromebook, a Mac and a Windows PC at any time.
